Mantis (2025)
Netflix brings something every year for brutal movie fans. John Wick’s style and The Raid: Redemption’s fight. Together they form the Mantis of 2025. It is a sequel to Kill Boksoon and to be honest, compared to Kill Boksoon, the action is a little less but the build up and style are amazing. Even the knife is not straight but crooked, he has style in everything. It is a treat for the fans of K drama as the superstars of that place will be seen doing action here. If you liked Lucky Bhaskar or Scam 1992, recently a dead customer’s bank account with a lot of money in it. This is discovered by two bank employees who are trying to make it disappear. But both of them do not know that this money belongs to their grandfather. If we withdraw too much money, we’ll get caught. If we don’t take it out, he’ll kill us. The starting of the movie is outstanding. There is a slight faltering in the middle and the ending gives a very good social message conclusion. Everybody Loves Me When I’m Dead. Number Eight’s scam documentary. I don’t know why I’ve been watching so many multi-million-dollar scam movies lately. This is how people get scammed. It’s a lot of fun watching movies about them. On top of that, there is also Hindi dubbing on Netflix. A fake Bitcoin company was created that didn’t actually exist. Websites are fake, offices are fake, people are fake. Now they made this fake company look so real that they are getting investment and so much investment came in. They couldn’t handle it. And how this scam gets exposed and the person who committed the scam is sitting right in front of you and explaining the whole thing. How did I do it? “We are 100% not a scam.” Someone says this only when they’re trying to scam you. Bitconned has an average IMDb rating of 6.5. This movie tells you to use your brain before investing your money.

K-Pop: Demon Hunters (2024)
I should not have included the number seven movie in the list. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with this movie. But its popularity was so much. I had seen some of its reels. I was impressed. And brother, the VFX and action scenes are amazing, the kind of VFX you’d see in a $100-200 million movie. But it is very childish. No sooner does one dialogue end than another song comes on, it’s a music action movie. If you like Kpop superstars then this is a must watch for you. I really liked its action and VFX. Top-class animation. The songs aren’t bad, but there are too many of them. “You are more than just pop stars. You are hunters.” K-Pop: Demon Hunters, with an average IMDb rating of 7.6.

Homunculus (2021)
Movie number six will actually blow your mind. An experiment in which a hole is made in the middle of the brain, and the brain which normally works at only 10%, starts working at 100%. By looking with one eye closed, he can see the trauma inside a person. Now this power has been given to our hero who has already lost his memory. There is a lot going on. The movie slows down a lot in the middle. You will feel a little bored. But by the end, its concept will blow your mind. Thank God. This Japanese movie was available in English, so I was able to finish it. Homunculus.

In today’s world, amidst the immigration crisis in America, I found a hidden gem. A super-talented aspiring toy designer has one last chance. Survival in New York City is tough, and Alejandro, a toy designer, has one last chance to prove himself as his work visa is about to expire. Average IMDb rating of 6.8. The movie takes a strong dig at the American lifestyle and immigration. The comedy of the movie lands at many places and falls flat at others but is perfect for a feel good moment. A 16-year-old girl sets out alone to cross the ocean in a boat. This one’s for you if you like survival movies like Life of Pi. The sea cinematography is stunning — the capsizing scene where the boat flips completely upside down was visually breathtaking. The movie inspires with its adventure and drama. It is a biopic movie. Number three, brother — this is what I call action. Showing a lot without showing too much. Over 1.8 million people have given it an average rating of 7.2. The movie tells different stories set in different parts of the Wild West and in each one you will get peak level action. You will be hooked to its action within the first 20 minutes. But let me warn you, there is a lot of drama. There is less action. You will find some Quentin Tarantino style action. Highly skilled gun man then bank robber, bounty hunter — everyone will impress you with their top-class skills in their own style, throughout the movie. A 2018 action-comedy, recently dubbed in Hindi — The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

Spectral (2016)
The number two movie makes South Indian-style slow-motion action look weak in comparison. there is something supernatural in it, which completely destroys the entire army — their equipment, high-tech machine guns — and brings everyone to their knees.
